Sage Killian's life was complicated in the simplest terms. There was something about him that his father now hated, his mother couldn't decide how she wanted to treat him, and his school life generally wasn't much better.
It was easy to tell but hard to understand, especially for a kid whose life begins to twist and turn outside of the constraints of humanity.
