I'm a big bughead shipper but this past season has been rough on them and I feel like there is a deeper connection to Betty and Archie than we realize. I like that they have history and are best friends and after episode 2x08 I have hope they will end up together at some point. This is just something I thought I would try out first fan fic so bear with me! Thanks for reading and tell me what you think in the comments!

"Someone! P-Please! Help, I'm in labor-ah!" Betty Smith barges into a bar, owned by the south side serpents. She's 19 and in labor, she needs help, and who comes to her aid...Jughead Jones. Jughead takes Betty to the hospital and helps her through the birth of her daughter, Harper. Then, after she's born, Jughead offers to help Betty get back on her feet, she accepts, but little did she know that accepting would cause her great happiness and also great heartache. But as she always says, do what you gotta do, but do those rules apply when she has to keep a big secret from the man she loves?

"So you were just going to run away with her and leaving me standing at the alter like a fool?" 10 years have passed and both Betty and Archie are healing from a betrayal, trying to heal the broken hearts that Veronica and Jughead broke only to find love with other people but what happens when Jughead and Veronica come back trying to win back their love. Is it too late? I suck at descriptions haha but this is a bughead story only it will be a slow burn and a certain ship will be going strong.

"What is going on with you?" she practically yelled. I looked at her and shrugged. "Seriously, Juggie. You're so damn confusing. One minute you act like you hate me the next you are defending me and acting like you love me. You make no sense" she ranted. She glared at me and I chuckled. "I love it when you call me Juggie. It's hot" I said and she continued to glare at me in silence. "I didn't know what I wanted before. I do now" I said casually. "Really? And what is that?" She fumed. "You, baby." I smirked. Betty moved away years ago when her parents divorced. Her mother wanted a fresh start in New York. Everyone promised to keep in touch but, of course, they didn't. Only her cousin. Cheryl stuck by Betty. Betty survived though. She made new friends and her mother remarried making Veronica her sister and best friend. Jughead was broken when Betty left. Losing her changed him. As the years wore on, he became darker and cruel. He joined his Dad in the Serpents and truly loved the gang lifestyle. Archie felt hollow since Betty left. He distracted himself with football and girls and had earned himself quite a reputation. Betty and Veronica became best friends while they're mothers dated. They both embraced the New York party lifestyle. Betty changed from a sweet, quiet girl to a bit of a wild child but kept her heart of gold. That is, until Betty and Veronica move to Riverdale with their mothers. Jughead and Archie are shocked to see Betty again. One of them view her as a challenge, the other as prey. Betty has other ideas though. Language warning and maybe some violence and dark material.

I know the ending of this episode was so disappointing so I am here to try to mend broken hearts like mine. Here is the Barchie storyline that we all deserve. We've patiently waited for far too long and since the writers can't give us the content we barchies deserve, I'll try my best to give it to you all. (book written March 2021-Nov 2021) (p.s: I wrote this story right after the premiere of the 8th episode, so this story is very different from the second half of the season, since at the time I was developing this story, Riverdale was on a three month hiatus and season five did not end until October). •••••••• "Betty. He asked as I stared at him dumbfounded by his question. I did not expect this at all. "Wh-what?" I stuttered staring at him in shock. "Betty. I may not be an FBI agent but I know what PTSD looks like" He pointed and I unconsciously fisted my hands. "don't do that" He begged in a whisper while reaching for my hands to keep me from digging my nails into my skin. Betty and Jughead are both 21 years old, they got engaged almost 2 years ago and have a 3 year old boy, Jayden. Jughead is a writer and also works at a construction site part time. Betty took over the Riverdale Register when her mom retired, it's a way to be home with Jayden when she can't find anyone to watch him. Money has always been tight for them ever since they moved into their own little house yet they always figured everything out... that was until Betty found out she was pregnant again 6 months ago, they both started getting more and more stressed getting ready for their baby girl to come, they would see less of each other and when Jughead would come home he would go straight back out to the bar, leaving Betty alone and pregnant with their 3 year old son.
