Rajkunwari Saya Singh: the niece of Maharaj Bir Singh Rajkunwar, the King of the princely state- Bhaddaiyan Raj of British India.
She is a Rajput princess who is proud of her heritage and refuses to bow down to anyone.

Geoffrey Berkeley: A young British soldier employed in the British East India Company.
He is a man who upholds his ideals and his love for his country as most important.

Fate conspires for them to meet.
Sparks fly, fiery words are exchanged and hidden feelings come to the surface.
