I believe in moments, ones that someone can look back on and remember how that specific moment was the beginning or maybe the end of a journey. I remember our moment but had I known it was going to be something I keep on repeat in my head, I might have done it differently. Or maybe not because it was us, it was ours. The point is I would never have predicted the outcome, never in a million years.

This is my very first story. I've always had these ideas and little excerpts that I wrote but I've finally decided to make an entire story. I'm really excited and nervous. Honestly, I just can't wait to share Kit and Leona's journey. So, I hope you stick around and grow to love them like I do.

For the booksmart yet naïve 16-year-old Nicky, high school in her quaint little hometown island in the Philippines had always been predictable. Until that senior year. Nicky thought she got things all figured out. She'd be very good at school and be the valedictorian of the single-section class of 2010 of the highly looked-up science high school in their island. And then, she'd get a full scholarship to her dream university. All was fairly well except for a few things like grappling her feelings towards a long-time crush. Just when Nicky thought she could get through high school without too much boy-drama, a somewhat seemingly love life with a boy or two and suddenly, maybe even three was finally catching up with her during the last few months before high school graduation. She had never thought she could be wrong about a person. And that she could always be wrong about boys... ✨✨✨ Sidenote: I wrote this from November 2010 to April 2011, only a year ahead from the time set in the novel.
