Present day, a strange small child is rescued from her psychopathic mother in a large mansion on the borders of Russia. As she is taken into protection by police, investigator Babushka Ventroya begins to learn that the child is not as she seems. As Babushka attempts to become close to the girl in order to gain access to information, she also learns that she has gotten herself into something that no mortal woman can get out of easily.
