Sarah has just recently joined the Avengers. Nick Fury has been pursuing her aide for a very long time. But she is very reluctant to work in a group, the last time it didn't work out too well. While Fury sees her abilities as a gift, Sarah has only seen the side of them leading her to believe its a curse. Will working with the avengers open her eyes to a new possibility and a future she wishes to have, or will her predictions come true.
*side note, this story is pretty old, three years, give or take  a year. So the plot doesn't line up with the recent movies. This story takes place during the first Avengers movie followed by my own little plot. Also has a lot of swearing. Ana Barton, was the most purest souls Thor had ever encountered. She was strong willed, smart, brave and compassionate. Though he had only known her a few days, during the battle with Loki, he found that she had completely entranced him. Ana didn't know who she was before Clint had found her and saved her. She idolised him, and followed in his footsteps, becoming an agent of SHIELD. Her life takes a complete turn, when she finds herself taken after the battle. ***** When he had returned to Midgard, Earth a few years later, with a reformed Loki, he finds that she had been missing and presumed dead almost as long as he had been gone. When the Avengers hit a Hydra base, to get back the scepter, they come across a room, where someone is bound, from the ceiling. Rescuing the fraile figure, they return to the jet victorious, only to find their rescue, is none other than Ana. She was barely conscious, and from clear signs, she was not there willingly. Taking her back to the tower, they try to help her, only to find that she has no memory of them, and now holding her own power. Thor wants nothing more than to destroy every single person who had hurt her, his need to protect her burning within him. The only comfort she finds is in his brother and the metal armed soldier, needing them both to protect her. ***** Being in a new place, surrounded by so many people, she felt overwhelmed, terrified that they would hurt her like the others. She feels her wrists are now free, and that power within her, was now accessible again. Though she loved her brother dearly for giving her a safe, quiet life, she missed having that bond with him. That is until the day he announced himself as Iron-man and joined the group of misfits that called themselves heroes. She had worked at the local hospital, as a doctor in the ER, but was often called upon to fix up the idiots who didn't know how to take care of themselves. On one of her shifts, she comes across HIM. That smug, egocentric asshole trying to prove that he knew best, arguing with her about a patient, when she had lost it, and punched him in the face. *** Stephen Strange was a man who prided himself on being the best, and here was this woman, who was telling him how to do his job. Just borrowing some Marvel characters and taking them for a bit of a spin. In my version of the Marvel universe, Tony Stark brings young Peter Parker, aka Spiderman, to the Avengers as a potential new member. And the story takes off with Peter adjusting to his new life with the Avengers and to becoming a part of the team. Then there are the Avenger team members themselves who are having to adjust to having a kid as a team member. Some are accepting while others don't think it's a good idea to have a kid placed in harms way. Particularly Natasha Romanoff, who accepts that Peter needs training, but doesn't like the idea of Peter being in danger. After being made into a weapon herself, she does not want that to happen to any child. And why does Peter always seem to throw himself into thick of things, placing himself between her and those who oppose the Avengers? Just who does this kid think he is? Why does he do it?

When new intel comes through about a Hydra weapon, the avengers split into two teams, one checking out a new base, while the other scours an old one. It's no coincidence that the intel comes through, and they find files about experiments done to one person. 'winter 2.0' the team calls her, but to Bucky, the fear sinks in as memories resurface about one soldier in particular, Ace. Stronger, deadlier and she made the winter soldier in him afraid. The work together to find out all they can, not realising that they are being watched by the very soldier herself. After an attack on the compound, which leaves quite a few of the team shaken, one avengr in particular is intrigued by the univited guest now residing in the holding cells. Who is the masked assailant, and why is it, she listened to him? **** The soldier begins to remember her past, fighting against all the Hydra conditioning, to remember who she was. Why does one of the men stand out? Who is he, and why does she have an overwhelming need to protect him? She knows Hydra will stop at nothing to get their soldiers back, but will she submit to Hydra or fight for right to live free?
