Sarah has just recently joined the Avengers. Nick Fury has been pursuing her aide for a very long time. But she is very reluctant to work in a group, the last time it didn't work out too well. While Fury sees her abilities as a gift, Sarah has only seen the side of them leading her to believe its a curse. Will working with the avengers open her eyes to a new possibility and a future she wishes to have, or will her predictions come true.
*side note, this story is pretty old, three years, give or take  a year. So the plot doesn't line up with the recent movies. If this story is liked I will post my others that are more current and up to date. The work together to find out all they can, not realising that they are being watched by the very soldier herself. After an attack on the compound, which leaves quite a few of the team shaken, one avengr in particular is intrigued by the univited guest now residing in the holding cells. Why does one of the men stand out? Who is he, and why does she have an overwhelming need to protect him?
