we were abduct and taken to an unknown location, my heart trembled pumping so fast I feared it'd burst open my rib cage.

Seconds turned to minutes and weeks into months but there was no salvation in sight.

Follow the story as it unfolds to have a glimpse of life under Boko haram

29 Kapitel Abgeschlossene Geschichte
Aminat jumped from her bed the instant the concussive sound reached her ears, a sweaty hand grabbed hers which hung freely by her side from the lower four poster bed, she flinched at first but realised it was Lucia. "Slush! Don't shout." Lucia whispered as she rolled from the bed and crouched toward the glass window. Two silhouette cuddled together on a bed opposite theirs shivered, it was dark, light was out, it was a foolish idea to even attempt to switch a lamp on. Whatever it was she needed to know. "What is it?" she asked, instinctively reaching for her shawl. Her attempted was interrupted with a gunshot and the blood curdling shriek of a girl. "Pleeese!" ...WHERE GIRLS DISAPPEARED IN ONE NIGHT... ...the story of martyrdom, of love, of the stolen, the lost, and their freedom... ...CHIBOK... Comments on CHIBOK by @Nigerians_community in The Nigerians Book Awards. This book! Awesome! Very awesome! The descriptions are one of a kind, so vivid and imaginable. The use of words and vocabulary is very adequate and interesting. The title is even catchy and everything about the book screams Nigerian. It is one that any reader would definitely want to finish no matter what. Kudos to the writer!! I'm proud and I'm so glad to have judged this book else I wouldn't have got to know about such a good book. I can hardly find any mistake in it, it's beautifully and awesomely written. CHIBOK is a must read book, a must finish book and it's my own winner❤. THANKS ALOT @lazypenNaija and @ ur_favouritexx

She feels like she is not worth living and she suffers from anxiety disorders and depression. She would soon be leaving for college, will she be able to pass through it with that mindset or is this mission just suicidal?...she has always wanted to be remembered in life, can she achieve those dreams? Flaws of an African Girl is book about the stigma and misconceptions related to mental illnesses. "Do you see those sunflowers over there? They look so free and at ease. They bloom in happiness without giving a care about the world. They are so beautiful. You know, I easily get intrigued by nature; it so beautiful. Sometimes, I wish I could be like the birds. They are so free. They are limitless. They are not enslaved or imprisoned to one place. They have freedom to fly and stop wherever they want to. No one can stop them from flying and singing in the morning sun. There is no restriction to life in their world. They thrive in freedom. They have no expectations to live up to; you don't need to live up to any standards, all you need to do is live. As humans, we are not expected to live that way. We grew up in a society where there are standards and norms everyone is expected to follow. There are limits to what we can do and where we can go. Some people are lucky and bypass those norms. Some of us aren't that lucky. Some of us don't have physical freedom, emotional freedom or even spiritual freedom. We are imprisoned by forces around us and forced to do things that we don't want to do but who are we to complain, right? It's the norm of the society." Cover photo by @jane_lausten

I walked down the dark hallway, my eyes scanning the rooms on my way.The door was slightly ajar as I reached the end of the hallway, my hands pushing the door open as I stepped in.Her sorrowful sobs reached my ears as I stared at her little form huddled in the corner of the dark room.Moonlight from the large window fell on her body as she continued to sob sitting on the floor. My stomach twisted in a bad way seeing her like this.A pain seared at the bottom of my heart as she hiccuped making me move towards her.I sat on the floor near her silently, not saying a word. She noticed my appearance as she stiffened for a fraction of second. Her cries had stifled as we sat in the dark with moonlight showering over us. "He had broken me into so many piece that it will take a life time to collect all.He ripped me apart from my soul, from my self respect making me crumble to the ground like ash.."Her hoarse yet soft voice resonated around the room making me turn my eyes to her beautiful face. "I have nothing left of myself.Nothing."She sounded defeated. But I didn't like hearing those words from her.It killed me to listen the bitter words she swallowed each time she spoke. *** She unintentionally stumbles in his life, stealing every fiber of his body.He wishes to make her his but destiny has other plans.
