Can you imagine living in the arctic when the nights appear to be endless and the frigid wind blows hard? And then there are the blizzards that can cover a whole village under a thick blanket of snow! Who would want to live there? But when summer comes and the snow disappears and the sun shines all day long, the saxifrage and arctic cotton and many other alpine flowers stick their lovely heads above the frozen tundra, transforming the landscape into a colourful woven carpet with amazing patterns that only nature is capable of.All Rights Reserved
