Ryker is an arrogant, bitter twenty-nine year old man. Being the owner of a national enterprise and being a billionaire, you'd think the man would be happy. But he wasn't. Ryker was miserable. Not with his job, of course, but with his social skills and not being able to let anyone in even if he tried. He's shut everyone out and built up walls to protect himself. But one night after he saves a girl from the arms of an attacker, suddenly, keeping his walls up became difficult.

Taylor is an innocent and sweet twenty-four year old woman with no where to go but the streets. Her ex-boyfriend threw her out of her own apartment and robbed her of everything. But one night as she leaves a small bar and walks out into the dark, cold empty streets of the city, she lets her guards down, and in a sudden shrilling moment, she's being pulled down an empty alleyway struggling to get free.
