As Jimin turns 18 and begins taking control of the Empire for his aging father, his stunning looks and new techniques of ruling catch the attention of not only every girl of Rome, but also his new enemies. Many wish he would be killed because they claim he is too young and foolish to rule; because of this, Jimin's father assigns his most trusted gladiator to protect him-the only heir to the thrown. To work Jimin into feeling more comfortable with power, his father assigns him to reporting any crimes that happen around the capital, for he must know the kingdom he will one day rule inside and out. As he makes his rounds one night, Jimin spots his bodyguard, Jungkook, out talking with one of the gladiators. He listens in on the conversation and finds out that Jungkook has been in love with the gladiator, but was being forced to say goodbye, as the gladiator had been defeated in the arena earlier that day and would be put to death in the morning. Jimin knows that having such feelings for another man is a crime that is punishable by death, but Jungkook has protected Jimin so much...he feels hesitant about telling his father, and allowing Jungkook to be the way his is in return for protecting his life.
