The Hawaiian Special Forces
This is the story I'm writing for NaNoWriMo 2015. The goal: 50,000 word RAW draft written entirely in the month of November. Unlike most of my stories, which I prefer to edit before posting, I'm actually going to post updates to this at the end of each day in chapter-sized chunks. The idea behind this story is that a terrorist attack in the near future causes the US to go hyper-isolationist, to the point that it abandons Hawaii and Alaska to fend for themselves. They do, forming the United Pacific States (maybe with a few other island countries). Hawaii then goes on to turn itself into the new world police with stealthy, genetically modified cyber-soldiers. I'm marking this story as mature because there will be action scenes, and probably some interesting perspectives on nudity and relationships. I'm not planning on anything explicit, but this won't be a kids book. Validated winner at 50,040 words!Complete
The Phoenices Volume 1 - Expired
This is the novel I'm writing for National Novel Writing Month, I'm planning on it being approx. 50,000 words, that's 1,667 words per day. This project might continue on into December if it gets enough reads and support, that being a big if. If it's not getting the attention I want it to get for the publishing to be a good idea, then I won't work with it anymore or waste anymore time on a dying novel. You may have noticed I have changed the title, I'm planning on making this a short series, maybe four or five books, unless I can keep coming up with a plot that won't get boring after that. As of right now, I don't even know what's going to happen on the next page. I'm planning on publishing this soon, it'll be available on Amazon when I do if anyone wants to purchase it and help a girl out. I'll post about it when it is available, keep an eye out for notifications and updates on how the editing is coming. I'm still looking for a few people to give me constructive criticism on this piece, help me edit the original maybe, I just need some help with it because I've been staring at it for way too long. Universe of Soulmates
This is a collection of short stories centered around soulmates. Each story has its own characters, with their own conflicts, romances, hopes, and dreams. Although these stories are in no way connected to each other, I'm hoping I can touch on a little bit of everyone's worlds--from heterosexual relationships to transgender people to non-binary gender identification and everything in between (bear with me, I will do my best to research these and if something is wrong let me know because I want to understand other people's worlds). Over the Wall: A Collection of Short Stories (NaNoWriMo 2014)
This year for NaNoWriMo, I am writing a short story anthology. It will feature thirty or so short stories (my hope is to write one per day to fulfill my 1,667 per day word requirement) about varying things. Each morning, I will randomly select a number between one and thirty and I will look at the corresponding list of first lines I will have. I will take that line and write a short story using it and then the next day I will do the process over again (some stories might relate to each other, some might not). Anyway I will edit the story for that day and post it here. It may not be posted exactly on the corresponding day, but in the end there will be thirty short stories. P.S. Although these are somewhat edited they are still rough drafts so please treat them as such.Complete
30 Days, 30 Stories: A Writing Challenge
This is a 30 day writing challenge, a collection of short stories. I've always been a world class procrastinator. The goal of this challenge is to get me writing regularly and, hopefully, break me of the perfectionist thinking that often paralyses me. The Rules: 1. Write and publish 1 short story (flash fic, vignette) per day for 30 days. 2. Stories must be at least 100 words. 3. They can be of any genre or subject matter. Like a lot of writers I have notebooks lying around full of random story ideas. Most of my older ideas are for novels and screenplays. Been going thru my old ideas and picking out the ones I think lend themselves to the short story format. I'm also working on coming up with NEW ideas that I can use here. Never been good at using prompts, but this is a good opportunity to experiment with those. All the stories here are original works written specifically for this challenge.
