Detective John Plumber has not seen murders like this in all his time in the police force, the visceral nature of the killings disturb him deeply.  Along with a new found ally, local reporter John Tobin, Plumber finds himself dragged into a web of intrigue involving the high echelons of the Catholic Church, international bankers and some sinister eastern European gangs. 
The body count is growing as Plumber tries desperately  to find clues to the identity of the killer, time is not on his side and his nemesis always covers his tracks, Plumber must catch a break before the killing lands on his very doorstep...
