Maya Rose has had it rough for so long that random acts of kindness are a foreign custom to her. Only Louis can do such things, and yet here she is, talking to Lin-Manuel Miranda in the early morning hoping by some miracle that he'll forget what he saw and let me go.
Maya's life turns into a fever dream she's fortunate to be awake for. She learns and battles with accepting other people's loves and maybe the possibility of a family that she can safely call her own.
Throw in her past nightmares coming back to haunt her, spiteful ex's and her crumbling mental health? It's a shock to her mind and she's just hoping that this sudden reality of her life won't break her completely.
