Her abusive stepfather goes over the limits one day and decides to use a knife to leave a memory of him imprinted to her permanently. She decides to run away, even though she knew it was useless. That was when a strange blond boy saw her, and decided to help her. They run away together to his apartment in hopes of Cassie being safe.
