Ian has lived a complacent life as an introverted young adult, placidly drifting along and content with not making a mark, until an unexpected encounter wrenches him from the warmth of familiarity into a tumultuous world of danger and thrill. With new companions, new abilities, and a stark new view of the world, he learns the hard way that nothing is what he thought it was, including himself. He must face trials which will challenge the very core of his being, and hope to retain who he is on the other side of it all. This story will follow him in a slow burn as he discovers the wonders his world has to offer, as well as the price of testing the waters of the unknown.
