It has been nearly a decade since the old Cross Academy closed, and Yuki and Kaname left; but now the school is being re-opened by Kaiden Cross, the younger brother of the acedemy's founder. He has spent many years rebuilding the school and, with the support and sponsorship of Seth Kyro (the rising heir of the pureblood family, Kyro), the academy's popularity is booming. However, this story goes far beyond New Cross Academy.

Much like his brother, Kaiden Cross took in a young girl who's parents met an early end. Kaiden has raised Kira Seyto (Cross) as his daughter, never telling her who or what her parents really were. Despite his efforts, though, the new headmaster is seeing that the girl is beginning to tread down the same path that her parents, his brother, and he himself chose to take. The only thing he can do now is wonder if starting the new school will be a blessing or a curse for  Kira.

But Zero is trying hard to hide something about himself that repulses him, much to the delight of his secret admirer. All Mizuki wants is to live peacefully with her family after graduating from this crazy school. It's not simple, though; Mizuki's life has not yet started, and Kaname knows this.

Yuki was five then and Alondra was four. Both girls were rescued by Kaname Kuran and taken to Cross Academy to be brought under the care of Kaien Cross. Ten years later both girls are students in Cross Academy along with their other friend, vampire hunter: Zero Kiryu. All three of them guarding the secret of the night class. . . the secret of them being all vampires. All along the way finding answers to secrets of the past. Their pasts. Cross Academy is an elite boarding school with two separate, isolated classes: the Day Class and the Night Class. On the surface, Zero Kiryu, Aoi Kiryu and Yuki Cross are prefects of the academy, and attempt to keep order between the students as classes rotate in the evenings. As the night class is full of utterly gorgeous elites, this can sometimes prove to be a bit difficult. It is completely necessary, however, as those "elites" are actually vampires. Zero, Aoi and Yuki act as guardians, protecting the secrets of the Night Class and the safety of the ignorant day class. As the adopted daughter of the academy's chairman, Yuki takes her job with a serious and energetic attitude. It also allows her to interact with her secret crush and savior, the night class' dorm president, Kaname Kuran. Zero and Aoi, on the other hand, have a deep-rooted hatred against vampires, and at times, does not hesitate to kill. Can vampires and humans co-exist, even in the strict setup of the Cross Academy? Only time will tell. A new mysterious vampire makes sporadic appearances and knows more about Aoi and Yuki's past then she lets on.
