Annie Haddock with her dual citizenship in Europe and Panem was screwed from a young age. When she gets reaped in the Hunger Games, she's not surprised. Not really. Everyone else is. What if the rebellion failed, the hunger games continued? These are the 150th annual hunger games! To remind the citizens of the failed rebellion the Capitol decided to hide ruins in the arena. Vivus Redis, a seventeen year old boy from district 13, is being reaped. Will he survive and see his best friend and family again? Or will he die a horrible death in the arena? And what's up with all these mockingjay symbols? "Why?!", yells Res as she enters the room. "I told you to not do that! I told you that over and over again!" Tears start rolling down her face again, washing away dust and dirt. I don't know what to say, it's like I don't have a voice anymore, so I just stand up and go to her. As soon as they arrive in the Capitol, though, before they are even brought to their rooms, they are wheeled into a small room. They are alone. Except for a camera, and a piece of paper telling them to explain their fondest memory, and their worst. As soon as they finish, they are wheeled to another room, this one filled with people and machinery and medicine. Here, a new experimental program, Tabula Rasa, will be performed on them. All their memories will be taken from them. Except for the two they just described Welcome to Panem, and welcome to Writer Games: Amnesia.
