The Reason We Survive

I walk over to the other side of the bed and sit down.

I grab Zero's hand and stroke it.

Zero starts to calm down.

I smile.

"I'll keep you safe, sweetheart," I whispered while smiling knowing if she heard me, she would of kicked me.

This is a story about a girl named Sage Frost, a.k.a Zero, who lost everyone she loved from the very
beginning of the zombie apocalypse.

She has been alone ever since.

But then a group shows up and wants to save her.

She meets Axel, their leader, who partically falls in love with Zero at first sight.

Will she love again after everything she's been through? Will this group give her another reason to live?

Or

Will she run away from everything and drown in her own demons and fears?
