As Daniel Johnson finally confronts his abusive step dad, one of the school bullies, Josh Millston, had just ended a relationship with his girlfriend and his football couch said that Josh has "lost his balance." And now he is not allowed on the team again until he find it again, to find it he must learn to skate, find someone who skates and will teach him. Josh must now go to the only person who skates in the school, the main person he bullies, Daniel.
