We are losing a very important battle.
It saddens me to say that the people who want to repeal net neutrality has won.
To those who don't know, net neutrality keeps ISPs from favouring one company from another. This means they cannot purposely slow down or block a website just because they don't agree with it or like it. With those laws gone, you can expect to pay extra just to use sites like YouTube or Facebook. Or certain sites may be blocked or slowed down severely all together.
Even if you don't live in America you should still be terrified right now. You can expect your subscriptions to companies like Netflix or Spotify to increase. Additionally, this big transition could pressure countries like Canada to do the same.
There is still hope, however. I've provided two links (inside the "story") in which you can either call or text/message congress. If enough voices are heard we can still save the Internet. I'll also provide a petition for those who live outside of America.
I'll also be copying this statement down so you can copy and paste it on your so i media accounts.

I have forgotten what it feels like to be free. To have a voice. I can't say anything, or else they might catch me. My parents would never forgive me. I'll be arrested. Maybe even killed. It's 2018, and one of the most corrupt men, named John Greedman, had been elected as president of the United States. He was in his second year as president and the world had turned into a rewind of the years past: schools were segregated by numerous races, and it wasn't just the schools, it was every single public place in the world. The newest laws were against gay rights. Now, you weren't allowed to kiss your gay or lesbian partner in public and people would be allowed to harass you or even get you arrested for it. A group of gay rights activists start protesting against the government and the laws against love. Will they be able to win back their rights? Note: if this story sounds familiar or seems real, then you know what I'm hinting at. Here is something you need to know about me, and I don't care what you say about it: I strongly support gay rights and I believe you cannot put a boundary on love. If you say love is free, then why are you telling a man "oh you can't love him because he's a man too," or "oh, you can't love her because you're both girls."?
