Suddenly with a jerk I went to snatch my hand back, but something from the other side grabbed on to it, and yanked me forward. My mouth opened in alarm, and I heard the shout of fear rise from the others.
How stupid was I? Sticking my hand into a surface like that?
My sneakers skidded forward towards the portal like thing, and I gritted my teeth and leaned back, pulling with all my strength. Just as I felt one of my team members hands start to close around my shoulder, a massive pull from the other side sent me forward, all the way into the portal.
