A twist of salty fate

"I trail my fingers along the top of the water. The wind blows my drying dark curls around my head. My reddish-Brown hand briefly being swallowed by the waves. It made me think of how under the gently rolling waves it is so peaceful. You could be lulled to sleep with their whispers of another land. The riptides always tasted a little different depending on the season. If you listened closely you could hear the stories of another place in time, or another land. Actual land if you prefer, although most of my kind prefer the water. The tides brought to you exactly what you need, when you need it. Not a moment more or a second less. Below the playful waves there is serenity and savagery. Down on the silvery sands, right after the massive damaged stones, you could glimpse the shattered light dancing to and fro. Fractal beings telling you where to go and what to see. If you looked hard enough they could tell you the future or the past. Some even believe the lights tell you who you are in your heart."

A mermaid fantasy? Pirates? Maybe romance? Yes, yes and maybe. ;)

I know I know, I have a lot of on going books. But this story has been in my head for a while. I didn't know what to write then, but I think I know what to write now! Either way *fair warning* I am not a religious uploader. I get small bits of creative energy and then slumber.
