There are legends that make up the structure of the lycanthrope society. Legends of the pass that explain how werewolves came to be, how the original packs formed, and the origins of the alpha. Likewise, there are legends of a time in the distant future. Legends that predict great turmoil and despair. Legends that outline a savior that will save the race from self-eradication.
One legend we care especially about, outlines a sole wolf who would lead the species out from evil and destruction and bring the lycanthrope people into a new age. The hero, is said to be impossibly strong and intelligent. A wolf, who will rise upon the ranks and put forth a new decree. This wolf will be the most respected among them all.
In the pack the man is power. The Alpha rules and is respected by all. A patriarchy. So naturally, the legends have been interpreted to make the savior of the lycanthropes to be a man. A great alpha whose power is unlike any other. Who's strength not only strikes fear into the hearts of every man, woman, and child but also is a great thinker and compassionate to his people.
For our story it will be important to remember that not all legends follow the rules of society. In fact, they may inherently contradict everything that is known about the pack.
A genetically unique but emotionally lost teenager must figure out who she is within her mixed-up, warring world of Shifters and Wolfstalkers.
