It wasn't like any other time Jun had entered his family home. He was usually greeted by his mother screaming, or when he was lucky like tonight, no one. It was different. An entirely different aura. He stepped through the door with a calm reverence. This was where his pain had begun. Violent and raw destruction of his childhood. He had waited long enough. Jun had five minutes. Jun went to his room. His footsteps echoed on the hardwood floor. As he walked he could recall every place his mother had hit, degraded, and tortured him. Every time he cried at night after his mother had lectured him about being a disappointment. Every time his mother had sat down and scheduled a new surgery for him. Blood pumped in his veins and his normally placid expression was alive, his eyes were filled with hatred and fire. Deep in his gut he felt waves of hatred pooling up into his lungs, his heart, and filling his mind with dark thoughts. As he stood in his childhood room staring at himself in the mirror he listened to his mother come through the door. It was time.

He leans in, his breath ghosting over my skin, every inch of space between us collapsing. "Still pretending you have a choice?" His voice is soft, almost amused. My throat tightens, but I force the words out anyway. "I don't belong to you." A low, knowing chuckle rumbles through him. Fingers tighten around my chin, tilting my face up until I'm caught in his unyielding gaze. Cold. Calculating. "Belong?" he echoes, as if the word itself is laughable. "You exist because I allow it. You breathe because I haven't taken that from you, yet." Tears burn at the edges of my vision, but I don't dare look away. "Fight all you want," he murmurs, eyes scanning my face, his grip unshaking. "Scream, beg, break--I don't care. In the end, little one, you'll learn. Because every part of you?" His lips brush against my ear, a cruel whisper of finality. "It's already mine." __________________________________________ A meaningless prank call caused this disaster, a series of deaths and misery. And maybe it was more than a prank call... maybe it was your loved ones, the people you least expect it to be, to stab you in the back. After all, they do say money changes a person. **18+** **DARK ROMANCE**
