The relationship between the guilds Fairy Tail and Birds of Prey have always been close up until recent years. Makarov had no idea about the strife the Birds of Prey had gone through, not until the daughter of the former BoP guild master came to him, asking to become a Fairy Tail Mage. Of course, this shocks Makarov quite a bit, since this is the daughter of the former Guild Master of the fading Birds of Prey Guild.
