After the incident Sam felt like her only option was to run away and never look back. Struggling with her PTSD and past lead her down a road that ended up getting the love of her life shot. Now, she was desperate to never let anything hurt the people she loved ever again. She heads north to Portland and attempts to put back the pieces to her crumbling life.

While Sam has disappeared to Portland Liam is left trying to track her down. Worried that her mental state might not be at its best after everything she had been through he was now working against the clock to find her. The longer she's missing the harder Liam finds it to control his anger. Her disappearance had opened up a whole new level of possessiveness that Liam had never experienced before. She was his and he wasn't about to let her slip away without a fight.

Reckless is the continuation of Mercy, so please be sure you've read it to understand this story line!
