We cannot have the Queen vow for his own son. Your wife was not able to travel here due to illness," Declan asked without hesitation. Briar looked at Volde, seemingly trying to tell him something. "Rowan remains on neutral ground," he gave the dagger back to Gunther. "I didn't expect the beast of the past to cower this time", Declan tilted his head. "I respect that decision, Your Majesty", Varick nodded and there wasn't a hint of animosity in his eyes. Volde removed the crown from his head. Briar stood next to him.
