Loki's a godfather?

A mortal man- great friends with the Loki Laufeyson- thought as a prank to make him his sons godfather. As that said man dies, Loki goes to Midgard to face his godson. He helps his godson through his struggles and in return they become a family. Yet what happens when the avengers come along.
