"The past is a very determined ghost, haunting every chance it gets."

Things that are buried in the past never like to stay buried. When you try to forget about it, then it becomes ugly and unsightly and transforms itself into a monster. Kelsey has lived her whole life with that monster hanging over her. It tortures her endlessly wanting to do nothing more than to steal her away.

Kelsey did her best to live a life of seclusion out of sight and out of mind, flying under the radar trying to only use her abilities under the cover of dark. But others had plans for her and would not leave her be.

~There is some inappropriate language so be warned~

[Disclaimer: All the characters and universe belong to Marvel except Kelsey. The plot closely follows the MCU but I have wrote some of my own pieces adding to the story.]

The past isn't always buried. After the brutal mission with Leo Novokov, Natasha Romanoff awakens with pieces of her life missing, fractured memories veiled in a fog she can't quite penetrate. Her life as a spy, her history as an Avenger-it's all there, except for the warmth of something she can no longer feel but senses should be there. Bucky Barnes, the man who once knew her better than anyone, has chosen to remain hidden, leaving the love they shared buried for her own protection. Bucky is a ghost in her life, careful to stay in the shadows, but unable to fully let go. Everywhere he goes, there are quiet reminders of Natasha-the faded notes in his journals, the scars they gave each other, the empty side of his bed each night. But he's convinced that to bring her memories back would endanger her, so he lets her go. For Natasha, however, the whispers of her past are relentless. Fleeting fragments of laughter, half-remembered dreams, and the brush of a familiar touch haunt her in the quiet. And as she uncovers old trinkets, redacted files that even her highest clearance level can't access, and glimpses of a man whose eyes spark an unexplainable ache, she realizes that her past holds secrets someone wants her to forget. Driven by curiosity and a deep, instinctual yearning she doesn't understand, Natasha starts to chase the fragments back to their source. And with each step, Bucky finds himself pulled closer, torn between protecting her and wanting her back.

She wants to free him and kill those who have done harm to her and him. She wants to prove to them that she could save the world. Who can help her? Only the Avengers and apparently, her brother. Elizabeth Marie Rogers is the sister of Steve Rogers, a.k.a. Captain America. She was taken by Hydra right after Steve went in the ice. She doesn't remember any of this. Now that she is free, her memory starts to return. She remembers Steve, being taken by Hydra, she even remembers the love of her life and his funeral. She realizes that the Winter Soldier is Bucky, the love of her life. She has to save him, I mean she does owe him her life. She turns to the last people she wants to, the Avengers. The Avengers don't know if they should help her, since they just finished Ultron and since she is a highly-trained, world-known, Grade A assassian. Steve begs them to help. They agree but don't trust her. They save Bucky and see who he was and who she was. They then ask them to join the Avengers. Bucky declines the offer, wanting to live a normal life, but Elizabeth doesn't know if she should join her her brother, fighting evil with her unnatural powers, or stay with Bucky, living a sort of normal life. Who will she choose? She loves them both and doesn't want to leave them. She can't decide, but with this Civil War, she won't have to. Tony doesn't want to work with her, but Steve still wants her help. | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | This book takes place after Age of Ultron and goes into Civil War. I don't own the Avengers or the movies. I don't run Marvel. I only own this book. This has Supernatural characters Dean and Sam and Castiel. This is just a Fan-Fiction. This book contains strong language. If you are not comfortable with this type of language, do not read. I hope you enjoy the book.
