What if Michael got another chance... This is an idea of an alternate universe that forms as different decisions are made by the Atlantis team during the second episode of season 3 (Misbegotten) of Stargate Atlantis. In the original story line the Atlantis team has managed to stop the Wraith from making it to earth with the help of a wraith, Michael. Michael was the first wraith that the team tested Dr. Carson Beckett's retrovirus on. Although the retrovirus appeared to be successful at first, Micheal soon began remembering who he was and eventually reverted back to his original wraith state and escaped from the Atlantis team. During the final episode of season 2 (Allies) and during the first episode of season 3 (No Man's Land) we learn that Michael was betrayed by the wraith that had rescued him and we witness the queen of the wraith hive telling Michael "the lingering stench of what they turned you into will never fade". Michael chooses to help Col. Sheppard and the other members of the team escape and eventually provides the idea that leads to the disbursement of the retrovirus to the entire hive ship.
Back on earth Dr. Weir is under pressure from the IOA who are threatening to relieve her of her command at Atlantis. She remains in command pending an investigation led by Mr. Richard Woolsey.
The difference in this story line first takes place during Teyla's meeting with Michael on Atlantis.

I know, another stupid story idea, but I think this one is an alright one. _______________________________________________ Being a fan of the Neptunia series after watching Lost Pause play the first two games I've read a lot of Hyperdimension Neptunia stories, because it's fun seeing how people can take characters like Neptune and put them in really entertaining scenarios that the games haven't yet. One thing I noticed about the more serious stories is that when it involves someone from Earth suddenly in Gamindustri, they move on from the fact they can't see their friends and family again. Some do but they usually move on quickly. Mainly because they don't have anything tying them to their old home. What if someone was in that same position, only he is completely shattered by the idea that he won't see his friends and family again? What if he couldn't just quickly move on from that and is too scared to get close to anyone now? Think about it, if you were currently ripped from this world and shoved into the next without your consent or knowledge you'd be destroyed by the fact that you're never going back home. _______________________________________________ Neptune, the protagonist of protagonists, finds a young, unconscious guy in a forest when she actually decided to work for once. She takes him to her home, telling her CPU friends about it they fly over to her to see if she was joking or not and finds it's legit. When he wakes up they find out he's not from this world, and he's not taking it very well.

It has been almost 250 years since the nuclear World War VI that wiped out the majority of humanity ended. Since then, a government has risen, calling themselves the New Society. It's leaders have told the citizens that their only goals are to achieve absolute perfection, and to repopulate humanity. For almost two hundred years, the people have been told that life outside of the domed society is impossible, because the nuclear and atomic bombs destroyed most of the earth, and tore holes in the atmosphere during the war. The leaders say that the society is all that's left, and justice must be served. It was this that led to all descendants of WWVI leaders to be placed into institutions, where they are tortured and trained to serve their future masters. They are termed entertainers, and at the age of eighteen, they are auctioned off, left to the mercy of their owners. Entertainers are essentially concubines, but any relationship beyond slave and owner is strictly forbidden, and punishable by death. It's a risk many people are not willing to take, but there are exceptions to every rule. Nevaeh Williams has a past unlike the majority of the other entertainers. She's forbidden from sharing her past, but her experience has led her to both fear and despise the New Society. After two years in the institution, she's auctioned off to a young billionaire. Noah Ivanov is withdrawn and mysterious, hiding a secret of his own. As things heat up between them, a shaky truth comes to light that forces them together. A person from their separate yet intertwined pasts comes seems to haunt their every move, and they must secretly fight against the New Society, in order to discover their government's true plans. Can Nevaeh and Noah overcome the odds they face, and bring justice to someone they've both lost? Will they fall in love in the process? And most of all, will they be executed for learning of the New Society's true nature?

{ snap, shatter, and howl pt. ii: being the sequel to mirror shards } Four months on from the Mandikhor attacks, Sydney Herondale is sure she's done. She's fallen in love (with Matthew Fairchild), she's starting to heal, both literally and metaphorically, from the wounds dealt to her in Romania during her travel year, she's got a flat in the City and with the mystery of her grandfather's identity solved, her research project is done and she can rest now. It's over. Or so she tells herself. You see, Sydney is magic. First that blinding rage when she goes into battle, then her strange ability to go ignored when she doesn't want people looking, and now, suddenly, she's starting to see magic, the ebb and flow and current of it like brushstrokes on Van Gogh's canvas. And if her grandfather's whispered, cryptic words are right, somehow all of these are meant to meld together to make...what? Well, she'd better find out, if she wants to make sure the magic is hers to control and hers alone. Not, of course, that anyone's making that easy.
