Water dragons aren't real right? Theyre just people trapped in spells. Except, that's not exactly true. Water dragons have stayed hidden for years, But when Narissa was freed they gained a sudden interest in mako.
Now, the dragons are prowling undetected through the water, with the intent of taking over mako island. But to defeat the pod, they need a mermaid on their side.
No mermaid would willingly do this, but when a dragon forms a connection with Rita it begins to take control of her. After all, she was top of the class. As the full moon grows closer the connection between them grows, and no one is sure how to stop it.
