Marisa's life is out of her grasp-her foster mother is pregnant, mom thought to be dead, and worst of all, she's soon to be trapped in the fifth dimension. "As I walk I go faster and faster. Scared to look back, I sprint to the city bus and don’t realize it. Someone IS following me. While he gets on the same bus I do, I nearly scream. The fear goes away faintly for a minute as I try to quickly memorize what he looks like. Blue eyes, longish gray hair shoved into a ponytail, Black leather jacket, and shaggy jeans. The fear comes back now. I feel I’ve seen it all before, but I couldn’t have. Could I? The man is now looking at me from the back of the bus. His eyes popping up from the top of the magazine, I act as if I don’t notice him, but we both know very well that I do. I get up to get off of the bus. I blink only once. Everyone is gone-but him. I blink again; the man is in front of me. The third blink is the scariest. The man’s hand is on my mouth. I close my eyes in horror. When I open them, I am awake. But I’m not in my own bed."
