The only thing she remembers from the dreaded day is her parents cold lifeless bodies and the Nightingales sweet call that had come from behind her. Madelyn along with a boy, who she thinks might be involved in her parents death, investigate the death of her parents and uncover secrets they never should have tried to find out.

Maybe Too Protective
We reached the hospital and Ryder, still being gentle, jumped out of the car. Zach opened the doors for him and they rushed inside the emergency room. "We need a little help."
