She's a werewolf, werewolves have mates. What happens when that mate dies? Depends on the person. In her dad's case, he got hooked on drugs, he never stopped drinking, whenever he looked at her he'd spit out some hurtful comment that he'll forget the next day, but she'll always remember. Then he just kills himself, leaving her with a new pack, some family she never even knew existed, and tearing her away from he only happy memory she ever had. Her dad wasn't the only one who needed to forget, to lose feelings, to feel numb. She did too. She needed to get away from the guilt of her mom's death, her dad's hateful comments, and his death. Oh god his death. So at the age of sixteen she starts sneaking from her dad's drug stash, sniffing and smoking whatever she can get her hands on. One day her dad found out and started hiding the supply from her, she turns to a drug dealer, but with no money. What can you pay with when you have no green? How about your body? She takes the deal. After she moves, she must meet her pack of course, and is surprised to see the Alpha is her mate. But sadly, she is not surprised to see he rejects her.
