Remember the beginning follows the story of a young girl as she grows up throughout the years of the bloody and brutal Somali civil war. Zeinab had to uproot her entire life from her hometown to avoid the wars wrath but trouble seems to find her family when she watches her father die right in front of her. This is her story.

1. This is a story created completely by my imagination and of course re-search. No characters represent anyone living or dead. It's fictional.
2. This is in no way meant to offend my motherland (Somalia) or any Somalians regardless of tribe, I've done my research.

This is what life is like for 15-year-old Layla who live in Afghanistan under the rule of the Taliban.
