The end comes for us all. Everyone has hopes ideas and faith about the next step after the lights go out. I woke to my limbs sore and my head hurting. I didn't open my eyes but chose to feel around me instead. I could feel leaves and grass underneath me along with the wind sliding along my skin. I could hear bugs and animals around me, along with the trees swaying. I could smell the fresh air around me. Then i opened my eyes to see the moon above my head through the trees. It shined so bright, and it made its own light in the sky.

A man seeks escape in the wilderness, but the further he goes, the less the world makes sense. A storm rolls in, hunger grows, and something dark begins whispering from the trees. Shadows shift when he isn't looking. Time bends in ways it shouldn't. And something is watching-something ancient, something patient. By the time help arrives, reality itself has unraveled, leaving only emptiness... and a single blooming rose in the snow.

I close my eyes. I'm not going to die. I'm not going to die. Suddenly, I feel my stomach drop and my head start to spin. I try to scream, but nothing comes out. I try to breathe, but my mouth is dry. The sickening feeling continues for about a minute, then it stops. I open my eyes; I'm not dead... Yet.

Something big and heavy slammed into my side and sent me flying backwards. Confusion washed over me while i was hurled into the air, bounced over the tree and onto the floor with a disgusting snapping sound. My breath was yanked away from my lungs leaving me gasping for a painful breath.My whole side was numb and kept me paralyzed to the soft ground. My wolf slowly shifted us back into human form trying to ease the pain with the bliss shifting gave us both. Something dark passed over Leah and i, blocking the warm sun for just awhile. Sleep was already slithering its way to me. But before the dark slumber could grab ahold of me i felt a brush of fingers against my cheeks.And the best part that filled me with joy, was a trail of tingles it left behind.
