The humanoid animals, or Anthros for short, started getting smarter, faster than the scientists expected, or reacted. The Anthros broke free and took what was left of the 'White Mist,' the substance that created them, and put it into the planet's air supply. Long story short, most animals worldwide have begun transforming into Anthros, and started devastating the world's militaries before attacking cities. Humanity is now facing extinction with their last millions while the Anthro civilization is over 2 Billion strong and counting. The war between Humans and Anthros has lasted for over 50 years, and while humans may be disadvantaged against the Anthros higher strength, speed, endurance, and intelligence, they still beat Anthros with improvisation, adaptability, and tactics. The war has destroyed all four Eastern continents, leaving behind a creature both Humans and Anthros call Reapers, who are husks of the person they were. The Anthros have near complete control over North America and are fighting Humanity in South America, but the main human bases are located on the Hawaiian islands. A war broke out over 50 years ago between the anthros/furs(anthropomorphic animals created by the government ) and humans and the main character jett a 16 year old human was part of a program who turned teenagers into super soldiers stationed at hoover dam but he didn't agree with their tactics of killing civilians so he killed his commanding officer but before he was executed back at hoover dam the furs stormed the facility and he was placed in a cryogenic pod by a doctor to save him but he ends up waking up 50 years later to a world ruled by the furs without having aged a day. shortly after escaping he falls off the dam and then is found by a family of furs( anthro foxes') but his past won't let him move on
