The idea of monsters was absurd, and unthought of, a nonfiction if you will. She had always thought of these things as bullshit, scary stories adults tell their children to behave, to go to bed on time... not something that could be the underlying cause of a murder, or the rioting mischief in bars and small towns. It was unethical and couldn't be the perpetuation in her life, nor could it be the consistency... it just wouldn't make sense.
