"Nobody tells this to people who are beginners, I wish someone told me. All of us who do creative work, we get into it because we have good taste.
But there is this gap.
For the first couple years you make stuff, it's just not that good. It's trying to be good, it has potential, but it's not.
But your taste, the thing that got you into the game, is still killer. And your taste is why your work disappoints you.
A lot of people never get past this phase, they quit. Most people I know who do interesting, creative work went through years of this. We know our work doesn't have this special thing that we want it to have. We all go through this. And if you are just starting out or you are still in this phase, you gotta know its normal and the most important thing you can do is do a lot of work. Put yourself on a deadline so that every week you will finish one story.
It is only by going through a volume of work that you will close that gap, and your work will be as good as your ambitions. And I took longer to figure out how to do this than anyone I've ever met. It's gonna take awhile. It's normal to take awhile. You've just gotta fight your way through."
A creative exercise for myself. I will occasionally, when I'm feeling particularly uncreative or uninspired, head to the interwebz and pick out a random prompt from a variety of websites. Enjoy, I guess?

Broken Souls 1 - Sans × Monster!Reader COMPLETE
Instead of you being a human, you're a monster in the Underground. I will continue to go back and edit or merge parts until I have completed the story. Parts that I am actively working on will be labeled "[under editing]" Also, art cover is an action figure off of fangamer.com. they have more action figure characters that are so cute. I am not affiliated in any way with fangamer.com. This is my 1st story in a VERY long time. I like to do things a little different as far as reader inserts go. 1. Instead of Y/N for your name, I use _______. Why? Because when I'm reading a story and read Y/N I think Y/N and then have to remember the name of the character I've made in my head, where as if I see _____, I immediately replace it with the name because there is no word for me to read. Love it or hate it, comment. I can be persuaded if the masses disagree. 2. I don't do H/C, E/C, etc., because it does the same thing that Y/N does for me. Instead, I will be as vague as I can on insert character descriptions giving the reader more freedom to imagine what they look like without forcing it down their throats. 3. For undertale specifically, I am more inclined to make monster!reader inserts, because that makes more sense to me. This will not always be the case. If the masses prefers human!reader inserts, comment so that I may be persuaded to do so. Also, feel free to ask for requests. The more requests I get, the more inclined I will be to do more stories. They don't just have to be undertale related. I will give you credit for any requests at the beginning of the story.Lengkap

Not mature for the younger audiences. -------------------------------- I don't like explaining my books because when I do I tend to write out everything that happens, so I am just going to say that I come up with these horribly dark ideas and put them into books, of course these books may be sad, they may be horrible, and maybe even a bit sadistic, but in my mind they are badass, and I feel as if I should write them out. Of course they don't come out as I want them to but oh well you'll get the idea. I honestly think that they could be better but I had been told by my best friend that they are 'sadistically amazing' and that I should post them once they are finished, so meh. Yes, I know I happen to say this in each of my story descriptions but I truly do end up ruining the story if I write about it and I rather not go and spoil a book when I don't like it being done to me. There will be foul language, sexual content, some gay people, some stupidity, also some possible triggers, and most likely some grammar errors. So I'm just forewarning anyone that reads it. I also try to make each chapter 2000 words or more, I suppose if that isn't enough someone will eventually tell me so here you go. I get all of my pics from Google, so.... Hm hm Yeh. Also if by some chance someone does like my books and is inspired, at least message me before you steal the idea. Otherwise have fun and don't hate.Lengkap
I Fell in Love with a Bad Boy
CRINGE WARNING! First book I ever wrote on here!! -- "Sometimes the person who you are willing to take a bullet for is the person behind the gun." I stood peering over the cold lifeless body that lay before my eyes. I had always thought of death the enemy, but right now, I blessed it upon the person who is now at peace. Sometimes you don't need to be the smartest, or the fastest, but you do need to be wisest. They say the blood runs deeper than water, and I believe it, because even though the people that we love can turn on us and begin to hate us, they are only human, meaning that soon they will begin to see how short life really is and how it is not to be wasted. People who seem perfect and they look like they have no floors'; they are the people who are suffering, like I was. But I found my savior in the most uncommon place. He was able to look through my mask, he saw the cracks, and tried to fix the broken girl that hid away deep inside the girl who only wanted to be seen as 'fine'. I slowly began to find comfort and safety in him, and I did the same to him. We were two broken people becoming whole. Someone once said when you pass, if you can count your true friends on one hand you are beyond lucky, and I even though I did not like the person that lay before me, I know that he once had true friends, including me. I'm a 17 year old girl who has suffered more than any other, beginning to believe that 'Hope' was just another word the people throw around. Until I fell in love with a badboy. The Return of the Hyuga (Nightly's continuation)
This is a continuation of RenRae26's story "The return of The Hyuga". They discontinued it(I think) and I really enjoyed the story so I decided to continue it putting my own style into it, trying to make it seem more different than RenRae26's own work. Of course I'll implemented the different povs and how they ended each chapter with suspense but i'll try to make it more "NightlyProduction"(whatever that means I only got two published stories) The main difference of the bat is how I'm shifting the focus of Hinata being the main character. Im turning it into more of a "what if-" situation/story and not a Hinata story(how her leaving and coming back changed how everyone sees her and how different they are as characters). Don't know if that's a mistake or a good thing(what the fans of Renrae26's original story want)but that's what I want to do with this story. Now, if you are intrigued, go read the original story(I'm continuing before the chapter "Cross eye" and "Cross eye" never happened) and come back here to be up to date.
