"Strange things have been happening in Knightley Glen in the run-up to Serafina Porter's two hundredth death anniversary and there is a reason - I'm sure of it. Everything up until this point has never made any sense to me, but now all of the pieces are fitting together..."

Knightley Glen - the town of secrets. Built upon the foundation of four influential families, it is famous for its baffling mysteries; it is a place rich in history and is also my home.

My name is Serafina Dylan-Porter, and I am named after my ancestor's youngest sister, who was regrettably found dead a few months before she turned nineteen. Her untimely death created the ultimate mystery, as nobody was able to figure out who had killed her; nobody was able to connect the dots, up until now.

Like the secrets of Knightley Glen, Vincent McKnight was just as interesting, and just as mysterious. I was drawn to him the first time I met him at Knightley Manor, but I could not understand why.

But slowly, everything started to fall into place.

A series of events, and emergence of patterns led me to believe that Vincent and I are perhaps the only people who can solve the mystery of my tragic ancestor's death. But of course, not without a little help from the past...

Serafina Marie Regnante led the perfect life. Gorgeous looks, beautiful personality, charistamic charm, loving parents, protective brothers, with her dream job and her own house, and not to forget the best fiancé anyone could possibly ask for. Her life was flawless: serene, secure, happy, meticulous, and beautiful. That is, until an untold secret leads to the death of those dearest to her, and causes her perfect world to come crashing down. In a place where peace and safety become foreign, where can she find the tranquility she most desires in a world of chaos? In her bodyguard, of course. A man whose sole purpose is her protection. Not only from the enemies out to get her, but from the destruction inside her as well. But both of them knew to keep their feelings hidden away, because she was the modern form of royalty, and he nothing more than a servant to the princess. Can the two keep it professional, or do their hands slip and their lips wander? --- "You're my favourite," I found myself admitting as the cool breeze gently caressed our faces, tucking my hair behind me. "Favorite what?" He asked in confusion, tilting his head to look at me. "Oh well..." I stammered. "Well, just that. My favorite pair of eyes to look into. My favorite name to see on my phone. My favorite way to spend the afternoon. Fill in the blanks, cupcake... I left it at favorite for a reason." I teased with a grin, watching his expression turned thoughtful. "You're my favorite, too." [ magic, romance and madness. ] Everyone knew that a romance between a guardian and their protégé always ended in tragedy - yet they risked it. One day, I read that in real-life fairy tales, the princess sometimes needs to befriend the dragon and kill the prince, perhaps not to the most extreme extent, considering the prince's utility. (*Wink*). Twenty years had passed since the demise of the last living descendant bearing the bloodline of a potent family within the mystical realm. Individuals who possessed magic more formidable than anyone could have fathomed and that very magic could be pilfered if they were to meet an untimely end-a rumour ignited like wildfire. Word began to spread about the sole surviving member of the Lysion family, the last vestige of a lineage renowned for their blessings from the gods (or, as some argue, their curses), once no more than bedtime tales for children. Two decades earlier, a game of hide and seek unfolded that culminated in the death of the final Lysion at the hands of Oldo Blake, a formidable figure in the annals of history. Or so the story goes. An obscure girl. A concealed secret. A relentless pursuit. With a motley crew of bewildering Other Siders on her trail and an absolute dearth of knowledge on how to harness her precious magic, Rosélina Johnson's life transformed from that of an inconspicuous university student to that of a fugitive in the mystic realm, utterly unprepared for what lay ahead.

Morana knows she's different from other people in more ways than one. Firstly, she's sixty-seven years old but stopped ageing in her twenties. Weird things have also happened around her right after she's wished for it. But most importantly, no matter how she acts, people feel uncomfortable around her. Unfortunately, she has no way of finding out why all of this is since she was abandoned as a baby. A shocking event makes her cross paths with Alejo, a male witch who has issues trusting other witches. But when it comes to Morana, he feels comfortable and at ease, as well as attracted to her. They are, however, not mates, and as such, he knows that any romantic relationship between them is doomed to fail. To not risk losing her, he therefore does all he can to fight his own feelings. [Can be read without having read volume one and two] ---------- Mature rating due to: smut, violence (magical mainly, but some that's rather bloody), death, attempted rape (happens in chapter 42 and will be mentions of it afterwards, fairly none-descriptive, focus is on emotions, there will NOT be a trigger warning at the beginning of the specific chapter), abuse both physically and verbally - mention of past child abuse. There is no self-harm, however, there are certain aspects that might still be triggering in that regard. If you ever have any questions about the content and potential triggers, feel free to reach out to me. I'm more than happy to specify more if need be. ---------- This series will contain the following volumes: Volume 1 - Zoe, the witch of innocence (completed) Volume 2 - Crimson, the witch of night (completed) Volume 3 - Morana, the witch of life (completed) Volume 4 - Mirai, the witch of sight (ongoing) Volume 5 - Danae, the witch of light Volume 6 - Rheseis, the faerie of love
