One of the Forest

I should have listened. I should have listened when they said to stay out of the forest. That it was dangerous, filled with monsters and creatures of myth and legend. I thought they were just stories my mom had told me to keep me out of the forest as a child in fear of me getting lost.

Oh, how wrong I was.

Let me start from the very beginning, from where it all started.

This is my story, or at least so far.

What, I'm not dead yet. I never really understood why people left off with this is my story. How are you writing it if you're dead?
