"From what! I don't need your protection!" Though's words had cut like a knife in his soul. Tearing him apart on the inside. Even the wind held her breath for a fleeting moment.
"Then we must never speak again. You have too much light in you. I've been a fool to think that somehow we could-." It was too painful to vocalize the rest but she could hear it clearly in his mind. Then his image disappeared for the last time.
