Have you ever wanted to be a princess, living in a huge castle and getting everything you want? Well let me tell you one thing: you do NOT, and I repeat, you do NOT want to be Gabrielle (or Elle) Lyn Ambrose.

The very smart, talented, beautiful princess is just turning eighteen and everything goes down hill. She's being forced to marry the biggest bastard of all, Richard Farbridge and being crowned queen!

Elle has had problems of being the princess and she wants to leave, but she never had the guts to do it. Well, now she did.

It's in the middle of summer and Elle decides to leave everything she has behind. Luckily, she meets a boy named Spencer on the way and is immediately accepted into his family and then soon meets his friend, Rachel. Now she has to hide from the big, scary guards searching for her and learn how to fit in.

But the question is: Can she?
