Thor invited his dearest Midgardian friends over to Asgard for a king-sized feast. While traveling in the Bifröst, the Avengers fell out by accident. Instead of landing on a foreign planet, they ended up falling through a wormhole and into a different dimension. In this world, it's only earth. No other planets with otherworldly beings (as far as they know). There's no superhuman people anywhere, nor any superhuman villains to thwart. Now they must find their way back to their own dimension.
(This takes place after the first Avengers movie)
