Nowadays she spends her time pickpocketing the better off, sneaking into adventures and telling movie stories to the orphans at Ms. Hannigan's. Though she won't admit it, she's grown attached to them, particularly Annie. So when she goes off to live with Mr. Warbucks, naturally she sneaks along for the ride.
But like Annie, Hazel has a secret hope of her own; that she'll meet the young boy she befriended so many years ago. Then things get complicated and Hazel starts to realize the man she's looking for might be closer then she thinks...
