"We found out that we aren't the only ones in this universe. Turns out that the other guys are much more afraid of us than we are of them. Our species thrived on a Death World, after all."

"Oh, wait. The name's Ahi. I work for R. E. D., otherwise known as Regent Exploration Division. I scout out planets for potential threats, and my employers capture and sell portions of these planets to other parties."

"Scouts don't exactly have a long life expectancy. After a while, we start to realize that we work for corrupt organizations, then the corrupt organization catches wind of you knowing and sends you to a Death World. You know, planet designed to kill little squishy organics like humans?"

"Anyways, I hold the record for the most completed explorations. I also hold the record for the most escapes from Death Worlds. And I guess if you're listening to this log book recording, I probably messed up and got myself eaten by some kind of super-predator. Adios."

The canine robot with a built in AI blinked as the audio file closed out. His scanners focused on the red-haired male who was asleep in the chair next to him. The voice belonged to a much younger male, one who still had hope in his voice. How time had marked his new master was far beyond the AI's knowledge.

This civilization became the heaven for people seeking a stable and peaceful life. The Earth rose and seas parted ways, and the environment had totally changed for its adaptability. Unfortunately, the inhabitants of this great technological civilization are all but manaless, arriving in a world where they are seen as inferior and as slaves. And how will the other powers that exist in this world react to a powerful, advanced nation filled with a race they deem inferior? Enjoy this story for free, available now for a limited time! The aliens kill every human they catch, or in rare cases, put trackers on them to discover their hidden villages. When Natalie is caught in an ambush, she is unexpectedly released. But there is no tracker. The Saursunes have an entirely different motive this time. *** Run. Don't look back. When Natalie is trapped in an alien ambush, she is unexpectedly released. The first human to ever be let go. The Saursunes invaded centuries ago, and everyone knows that getting caught is certain death. Natalie is confused but grateful to be alive. As a porter, one of the few humans with the rare ability to teleport between special crystal formations, she must leave the safety of her desert village every day to help gather food. When other villages increase their raids on the Saursunes' farms, the aliens retaliate by hunting down every human they can find - except Natalie's group. Instead of trying to kill her and those helping her, they bring them food instead. Is it a trap? Or something else? Natalie isn't sure, but one thing is certain: the Saursunes aren't done with her yet. ------------ Updates are Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Fridays at 11-1pm MST. The story is completed offline, so no worries about it being abandoned!
