As basic the description below sounds, this book is filled with descriptive imagery, twists & turns and original thrillers.
The house on Nowhere Street is based upon the life of nine-year-old, Poppy, her family. Poppy and her family live out the same routine every day: wake up, work, sleep. One day Poppy overhears a conversation between her mamma and an old friend and her life is changed forever. Poppy starts to learn the truth about her house, sisters, mamma, her runaway father and the trees. When Poppy finally confides in her mamma about what she knows, will mamma stay her same chirpy self?

I awaken from my sleep, my nightmare. It makes my fingers tremble as vivid memories of my nightmare flood through my mind. It's the same one every night. Every time I have the nightmare I usually wake myself up by screaming. And each time I scream it burns the sides of my throat and mouth and fear and pain pump throughout my body.

The "Please..." I hear her whimper and I go into full panic mode. "Calm down, okay? Deep breaths. Don't hang up. I'll be with you soon. Where are you?" I rush as I grab the car key sitting on the glass table. I run into the garage with my dad behind me. "What do you need?" Dad asks "A room. A big one." He runs back inside as I hear her voice again. "Basement...blood...Elle..." I hear sounds of movement in the background and connect the dots. Elle's bleeding, or something... "Deep breaths baby, deep breaths. It's okay, you're okay" I murmur reassuring words to her, thankful that there's no traffic. Several thoughts run through my mind as I drove to her house. The last time we spoke, she could barely stand me, but now she's calling me. I feel kinda used, but now's not the time to think about that. I reach her house in a matter of minutes and shove the door open. The house is quiet, save for my heavy breathing and footsteps. I reach the basement and take in the sight in front of me. ⚠️this is a weirdcore/dreamcore type story, so please read with caution if it may cause you to dissociate!!⚠️ A young girl and her little sister have glitched out of reality, and are now in a liminal place. The girl has been here before, and is determined to get herself and her sister out of this place. However, when she runs into old friends, she finds out that she is one of very few humans who has successfully glitched here twice (let alone by accident). Now she needs to find out if 'home' is the place she grew up in, or if she really does belong here. She needs to make some tough choices.
