There are no such things as Gods and magic.

Not according to Lorelai Good, a hardcore and pragmatic atheist, whose only focus in life is put enough money aside to afford med school. Her aunt's crazy Wicca bullshit and the New Age wave that seems to run fervently in New Orleans are the least of her problems.

But when strange, inexplicable things start happening around her Lola realizes that she might have to compromise her ideals, and put her plans on hold, because there is a whole new world out there.

A world ruled by magick, Gods, and ruthless, cunning Vixen, that are as sharp with their tongues as they are with their magick, and will do anything for power. Throw in the bunch an ongoing secular war with witch hunters, and a school filled with mean girls, that can literally spit fire.

When Lola realizes that she's one of them, she has no choice, but to learn the fine art of bitchcraft.

The road to magical affinity is a rough and unforgiving one, a path you might take only in search of power that limits a section of your reality, stealing your autonomy. The accepted wisdom is that magic was intended only for the well-to-do, the superstitious or those who engage in the morally reprehensible. Miva'yon is what society deems as a witch - an abomination of nature, law and righteous order. Witches seek magical power, but one unrestrained by the shackles of gods, kings and the essence of life. They wish for freedom, to break humanity's bonds and create their own understanding of what progress can mean. For this, they are shunned, thrown into the edges of society and often outright slain. Nevertheless, Miva'yon will not surrender her dream of a future where she doesn't have to hide her true being, and desperately pursues rumors of where those like her may live freely and safely. The difficulty lies in reaching it. Eireki was a holy knight of a benign goddess, having left her home to adhere to her beliefs of a better world, one where light and justice shine above everything. Upon meeting Miva'yon and beholding her fellow knights' prejudice, her trust was forever shattered and she found no other solution than to oppose their unjustified hatred with her whole might. For this, she was killed. Now being reawakened into a second life, an undead existence by the very woman she tried to save, she questions whether anything she's been through so far was worth it.

"I wanted to te-" His eyes began to water and as a single tear fell he looked at me and said "but what if you've been lying for so long you don't know how to tell the truth?" "I have and so will you." He shook his head, shut his eyes, and leaned his forehead against the glass. "And here I was thinking you would admit that you don't tell the truth either." I gripped the telephone as my knuckles turned white. "What do you mean?" "Come on Zoey I've seen you sneaking around acting like you're busy. You're hiding something and you won't tell me." Alexis didn't feel the same way, she didn't want that untill she got to know some of her new friends. There's not really much to go on because after awhile I kinda didn't like it and so I gave up on it for awhile but I then started it again and just put in the last couple of chapters.
