Her breath formed a cold cloud as she let out shallow breaths. Her heart sounded louder in her ears, throbbing out of her neck, feet, arms and everywhere else. If it weren't for the sizable nail that caught her foot as she ran earlier, she would've probably made it out through the east wing window. However it was all too painful to move without making a sound.

She hid in the cabinet, placing all her weight on one foot as she looked through the thin crack that formed between the doors which never closed entirely.

A deeper darkness had begun to dawn around the room followed by the unsettling silence that engulfed everything in its path.

Deep down she knew nothing could hide her away from it. From her. The thing could smell the blood that dripped off her foot and splattered on the soft, dusty floor of the old wooden closet.

She watched the shadow that stood behind the door. It shifted away carrying the darkness with it as it did.

After some moments she let her bleeding foot fall back onto the ground as she slowly limped out of the closed space and into the open room. Her dark hair matted onto her sweaty skin as she whipped her head side to side the fear that buildup like a brick that bounced at the pit of her stomach.

Momentarily, she felt a sense of relief as she quickly moved across the room to the foggy window, attempting to pry it open.

But that hope quickly got swept away and so did she, by the dark claws of the unknown. It grabbed the sides of her face and pulled her back into the closet before a scream left her lips, with a force that shut the closet doors with a thundering smack.

Dust rose and fell elegantly back onto the ground and furniture as if all went back to the way it were. With silence dawning once again.

He once told me no one knows the real him.I didn't think he meant it, and not in a good way. He is a straight A student, and everyone knows it, not to mention he is on the swim team. All that though isn't the real him, the real him hides deep within himself. ---------- "Can you please tell me what that was?" I nearly shout at him. All I get is silence. He keeps his back to me. "Please, I need some explanation." I beg. I stay still as he stops dead in his tracks. His body is tense and it's scarring me. He turns around slowly to face me with his hands at his sides. His eyes meet mine, but there is no spark of any emotion in them. They are cold and dark making me look away not being able to hold his deadly stare. I feel uneasy under his gaze, and i feel his eyes burning a hole in the side of my face. "No, I won't explain because it's not important." He says in a low, almost, growl. I flinch and look back into his eyes. I feel hurt by his words and I don't know why, but I know he sees it in my eyes. His faces flashes with regret but it's quickly covered up with his faces going back to it's hard cold look. I feel my heart stop and my face go pale. His look terrified me making me hold my breath. "Breath." He orders. I start to breathe again and just blink at him. "Now go." He orders me again. I flinch involuntarily at his tone and jump back slightly. "Please don't let me walk home alone." I beg in a quiet voice, looking down at my feet. The next thing I see are his black combat boots right in front of my shoes. I look up into his eyes and he looks down into mine confusion written all over his face. "How come you aren't running yet?" He questions searching my eyes. "I just can't walk home alone, please I'm scared." I hear him chuckle. "You aren't afraid of me? What can possibly be scarier than me?" He asks. "Well, I know you will keep me safe." "Why is that?" He questions raising an eyebrow at me. "You haven't hurt me." "Yet." He mutters, but I roll my eyes.

She felt it before she saw it-the prickle of eyes on her skin, the unsettling sensation of being watched, even in a crowd. The feeling had started months ago, subtle at first, just a hint of unease that she brushed aside as paranoia. But as days turned into weeks, the sensation grew more intense, more insistent, like a shadow that followed her everywhere. Her friends called her dramatic, her mother worried she was overworking herself. But she knew better. It wasn't just her imagination. He was always there-just out of sight, lurking in the edges of her world, a dark figure woven into the fabric of her life. She caught glimpses of him in reflections, a fleeting silhouette in the corner of her vision. She could feel his presence, a heavy weight pressing on her chest, tightening her breath. He watched her with a hunger that burned in his eyes, an obsession that consumed him. She didn't know his name, didn't know his face, but she could feel the intensity of his gaze even when she was alone. It was a strange sensation, knowing someone wanted her so badly it bordered on madness. Her every move was marked, every breath counted. She was no longer living in a city, but in a cage-a cage he had built, without bars or locks, yet impossible to escape. He had chosen her, marked her as his own, and now there was no turning back. She's his obsession, and he's her obsessive stalker. What she didn't know was why. Why her? Why now? And what would he do if she tried to run? The answer was simple-he would never let her go

The "Please..." I hear her whimper and I go into full panic mode. "Calm down, okay? Deep breaths. Don't hang up. I'll be with you soon. Where are you?" I rush as I grab the car key sitting on the glass table. I run into the garage with my dad behind me. "What do you need?" Dad asks "A room. A big one." He runs back inside as I hear her voice again. "Basement...blood...Elle..." I hear sounds of movement in the background and connect the dots. Elle's bleeding, or something... "Deep breaths baby, deep breaths. It's okay, you're okay" I murmur reassuring words to her, thankful that there's no traffic. Several thoughts run through my mind as I drove to her house. The last time we spoke, she could barely stand me, but now she's calling me. I feel kinda used, but now's not the time to think about that. I reach her house in a matter of minutes and shove the door open. The house is quiet, save for my heavy breathing and footsteps. I reach the basement and take in the sight in front of me. Blair cradles her brutally beaten-up sister in her lap as she rocks herself back and forth blinking very frequently. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Currently being edited Look out for cringe worthy typos and plot loopholes
