A new prophecy has been revealed.
Eight kids, eight animals.
Will they risk their lives to save Erdas and themselves?
Or will they fail and all of Erdas will perish?

sɴᴇᴀᴋ ᴘᴇᴇᴋ:
Niko looked over at me, his throat bobbing as he swallowed.

"We got this." I managed to whisper to him, though the lack of confidence did little to reassure him. And myself. The handle of my battle-axe suddenly felt heavy in my palms.

"We're not the only ones." Lucia said darkly, pointing to the other side of the clearing.

Squinting, I spotted darkly clad soldiers. They stole closer to the battlefield-to-be and golden C's shimmered in their armour. Conquerors.

"Well, it's now or never." Hoya muttered grimly. "Charge!"

Powerful beyond the wildest imaginations, each the guardians of their respective lands. They were creatures of myth, strong and fearless, and they watched over all the other animals of the world. Trouble stirs in their peaceful reign when a dark force awakens. The ancient many-headed Krakon, long ago buried in the earth by the Beasts of Legend, opened his eyes for the first time in centuries. The people of Erdas believed in these seven wondrous animals, and were sure of their ability to put the Kraken back to sleep. However, the monster awoke another unknown evil, and the seven beasts vanished from the face of the earth. The seven of them took all forms of magic that remained on Erdas with them. Sea serpents and dragons left not a single trace behind, fairies and dryads never seen again in their homes. Erdas as they once knew it had fallen. The Beasts of Legend had vanished for so long, the people of Erdas had no reason to believe it ever existed. It has become the world that we know now. There was one trace of power these beasts left. The beautiful gift of bonding a human to an animal companion has stayed, the only sign that the seven of them were once there. But the seven vanished creatures still dwelled in the hearts of their land. They wanted to return what they stole from the world. They just needed to find the right people to ally themselves with. "Who's out there?" One of the men yelled. Of course only silence met them. I remained quiet and waited for the group to start moving again. "Maybe it was just an animal." Someone whispered. The person, who I assumed was the captain of the small squad, signaled for them to walk again. They clearly showed fear as they kept going; brandishing their weapons to guard themselves with. "Two are holding lanterns. I'll tell you when you're too close to them." I heard my friend whisper in my ear. I followed the men as I picked up another branch and waited for the right time to break it. They continued to walk through the forest, turning their heads in every direction as if an animal might lunge at them and rip their throats out. I guess in a way I was going to do that. "Go back a few feet." My friend whispered. I carefully distanced myself from the group and waited. "Where is she?" I quickly snapped the stick as soon as he finished asking the question. They stopped and two soldiers raised their lanterns to shine its light in the darkness. I quickly hid behind a tree before both of them turned where I was. A low frustrated growl came from one of the men, "The girl's playing with us. She's out here following our every move." How paranoia can cloud the mind. At nine years old, Silver decided to leave her village for the forest. Since then, she's been hunted; everyday is a fight for her life, every breath she takes could be her last, but she's determined to stay alive. Her life isn't the kind anyone would want to live but she's managed to survive this long so, what's a few more years?

This was too much, way too much. In half a day, my life had been turned upside down. Just as I was about to fall, the raven transformed into a boy and caught me. The bird had just turned into a boy. What the heck? What was an Avian doing on Lupine territory? * ~ * ~ * ~ * ~ * ~ * ~ * ~ * ~ * After much debate, I decided to discontinue this second book and series. I love the world and I built and the characters with all my heart but the writing is incredibly outdated and the plot progression is all over the place. I may reuse these characters in the future, but this series has come to an end. I'm sorry to the people who wished to see the story continue, but I hope you'll be able to join me on future fantastical journies once I have time to write more! * ~ * ~ * ~ * ~ * ~ * ~ * ~ * ~ * First Published: Dec. 20, 2018 Finished: Mar. 31, 2020 Finished Publishing: 5-23-2020

Setting off on another adventure, this time to Zhong, the Chosen Eight are growing ever closer and the team is finally starting to work together. But in Zhong, secrets will be revealed, secrets that one person might have kept their whole life... (book 3) Sneak peek: We crept forward side by side, then parted ways and advanced separately. I adjusted my grip on my staff and fell into an offensive stance. The Komodo dragon realized what was happening when Xavier flashed out of passive. He slithered around my ankle, scales pinching my skin. I ignored it, focusing on our battle. The Komodo dragon roared and snapped at me. I jumped nimbly to one side. Sasha snarled loudly and plunged his sword into the lizard's side. The dragon squealed and whirled around; I had to duck to avoid it's tail. Sasha and Delar became two whirlwinds of colour as they slashed and jabbed at the Komodo dragon's snout and neck. I was getting dizzy watching they... or was I just getting dizzy? "Conquerors incoming!" Ryan's shriek pierced the air above the sound of the battle. I spun on my heel and settled into a defensive stance, my staff loose in my hands. "Come on, idiots." I growled, staring around for the enemies. "Where are you?!"
